ATTENTION PLAN #4000 MEMBERS
In
the next few weeks, you will be receiving new ID cards for the CARE
Medicare Prescription Drug Plan and your Medicare Part A and B Medical
Supplement for 2012. These new
cards are to replace the cards you used in 2011. After December 31, 2011, please
use your new cards. As a reminder, you have
a single card for both your Medical and Rx coverage.
Feel free to contact CARE at 800-334-1330 with questions you may have. The CARE office will be closed Friday, December 23; Monday, December 26; and Monday in observance of the Christmas holiday and January 2, 2012 in observance of the New Year.

Railroaders and their Families
The Consolidated Associations of Railroad Employees, (CARE), provides health plans for employees and former employees of the Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railroad (BNSF). Our health plans include Medicare and supplemental coverage.
CARE developed from the original charter of the Gulf Colorado Employees' Hospital Association in 1891, and the Atchison Railroad Employees' Association in 1884. Changes have been made through the years to respond to the needs and wishes of the members and as a result, on July 1, 1996, the Santa Fe Employees Hospital Association and the
A. T. & S. F. Employes' Benefit Association merged and formed the
Consolidated Associations of Railroad Employees (CARE).
